Working with an international team of developers, Moxie Consulting spent 6 months creating a series of online training classes for the world’s largest retailer.  The task included working with internal subject matter experts to transform on the job training to a format that is easily accessible and available 24/7.  Topics ranged from front line associate training regarding customer service to the roll out of an integrated program for helping associates move from a front line position to higher levels of management.    This process involved design team meetings, creating working drafts for review, interacting with varied levels of management for approvals and creating real time, spontaneous videos to demonstrate the practices discussed in the training.  Gamification was added to increase the attention and understanding of the concepts.  Moxie served as a contract employee for this project and will continue to do so when new projects arise.    Interested in discussing how designing and tailoring programs for your individual work practices could be beneficial? It is not uncommon for small to mid-size municipalities to rely on vendors for their professional development needs. Moxie Consulting has worked with over 15 cities in both Texas and Arkansas, to address their leadership and employee training expectations.  We have developed a working partnership and in effect, serve in the role of an internal training team. Classes offered are diverse and include many of the subjects on the Menu of Topics list and are often offered multiple fiscal years to allow the entire targeted audience to attend.   The classes are offered in the timeframe that works best for the city and are tailored to include city specific policies and practices. Doing so allows the content to be relevant for the employees and job related for ease of application after the class ends. Lisa’s years of municipal government experience allow her to use real examples and relate to the issues discussed including council members, citizens and vendor scenarios.   Lisa is also often asked to develop specific topics relevant to the specific city, recently creating content for a half day Department Director retreat which included the use of the DiSC as a communication style assessment and ended with teams creating names for their bowling teams as they worked together to miss the gutter and strike the pins.   Want to know more about customized classes for your team, Directors or supervisors?
